A leading regional arts organization executing over 200 unique annual events for a geographic region of nearly 3 million people, had recently emerged from a period of deep financial strain. Needing to dramatically reduce its deficit and change course, the decision was made to conduct a capital campaign – the first in more than two decades.
Beginning with a comprehensive analysis of giving trends, our quantitative and qualitative assessment determined a feasible goal of $10 million over a 5-year period. Overseeing the process from start to finish, we architected a detailed strategy and tactical execution roadmap focused on donor identification, segmentation, and cultivation, as well as overall brand experience. We provided ongoing support and guidance to the campaign manager and internal team and leveraged our expertise in marketing, strategic communications, and complex project management to support overall execution and ensure campaign milestones were met.
A successful capital campaign that raised over $10 million – two years ahead of plan – resulting in nearly a 2x increase in the endowment level. Importantly, the reinvigorated donor base provides significant future opportunity through continued engagement and cultivation efforts.
